Magisters has become the only law firm in the CIS included in the newly released Global Arbitration Review 100, a guide to the top arbitration practices of the world.

Global Arbitration Review (GAR) is a known authority on the international arbitration arena. The 100 list is often referred to as the "approved list," because it contains only the firms that have been audited by GAR and satisfy the three criteria: reputation, recent work and experience.

In the report, GAR describes Magisters as the team "often found defending the Ukrainian state in investment disputes." The guide also makes a special note of Magisters' arbitration capabilities across the CIS and the firm's two dedicated international arbitration partners.

Commenting on the accolade, Serhii Sviriba, Magisters' Partner and Head of International Arbitration & Litigation Practice, said: "Magisters' inclusion into the world's most authoritative arbitration guide is very valuable for our team as it reflects clients' and analysts' views of our professionalism. Magisters' International Arbitration & Litigation Practice ranks in Band 1 for Ukraine, according to Chambers Europe 2008, and comes "highly recommended" in Ukraine by PLC Which Lawyer? 2008.

As announced earlier, Dmitry Dyakin, Managing Partner and Head of Magisters' Dispute Resolution practice group in Moscow, was ranked by Global Arbitration Review as one of Russia's leading arbitration practitioners in the "Notable" band. According to an expert’s opinion quoted in the GAR "Dmitry is a young counsel with growing experience in international arbitration".
